Tickets will soon be available for Spotlights Musical Theatre Group’s Christmas production, Once Upon A Christmastime.

A heartwarming story of the true magic of Christmas, Once Upon A Christmastime is an original, fully costumed, semi-staged musical production created by Spotlights’ own director, John Woodward-Roberts, and musical director Serena Kay.

Following the success of Hello, Dolly! at Cordes Hall in February 2026, the production brings together the same talented cast for this feel-good festive show.

Set in the aftermath of the 1918 Armistice, the story follows the Symonds family as they prepare for Christmas without their father, who remains in France. For children Billy and Mary, there is only one thing they want for Christmas: for their father to come home in time for Christmas Day.

If Santa is real, can he make their Christmas wish come true?

The show boasts a musical programme featuring traditional carols, modern Christmas classics and songs from the much-loved Elf the Musical – as the audience is transported by Santa’s magic to his workshop at the North Pole. The production will also feature a special guest appearance by the dancers of Wentworth Dance Centre.

With plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with well-known Christmas favourites, Once Upon A Christmastime promises an uplifting and magical evening for all the family.

And what better way to enjoy a Christmas show than with mulled wine and warm mince pies during the interval? A licensed bar will be available before each performance and during the interval, serving a selection of beer, cider, wine and soft drinks.

Performance dates

Once Upon A Christmastime will be performed at Cordes Hall, Sunninghill, with evening performances on:

• Thursday 10 December
• Friday 11 December
• Saturday 12 December

and a matinee performance on Saturday 12 December.
